Comrade Jiang Zemin passed away in Shanghai at 12:13 PM on Nov. 30, 2022 at the age of 96. He was an outstanding leader enjoying high prestige acknowledged by the whole Communist Party of China, the entire military and the Chinese people of all ethic groups, a great Marxist, a great proletarian revolutionary, statesman, military strategist and diplomat, a long-tested communist fighter, and an outstanding leader of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. He was the core of the CPC's third generation of central collective leadership and the principal founder of the Theory of Three Represents.

The Chinese Embassy will set a Hall of Mourning and receive condolences at the Embassy compound between 9:00-11:00 am everyday until 6 December. According to the requirements of Covid-19 prevention and control, please kindly inform the liaison officers of the Embassy in advance.
