The Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia Donated Computer Equipments to Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency (ERTA)

On July 15th, 2009, the hand-over ceremony of computer equipments donated by the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia to ERTA was held in the building of ERTA. Mr. Zhang Yuebang, Charge d’ affairs a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia, and Mr. Haileab Abraha, the Deputy General Manager of ERTA, signed the hand-over certificate.

Mr. Zhang said that the cooperation in the field of broadcasting and television was a significant part of the Sino-Ethiopian relations. Over recent years, the exchange and cooperation between the two sides had born fruitful outcomes.

Mr. Zhang also highly appreciated the positive role played by ERTA in promoting the mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries. The Chinese Embassy hoped these computer equipments will be of help to the BPR (Business Process Re-engineering) efforts by the ERTA.

Mr. Haileab on his side expressed gratitude to the generous support from the Chinese Embassy. He said the ERTA was on the way to upgrading the technology and implementing BPR to further transform the service delivery mechanism and improve the service efficiency. The computer equipments donated by Chinese Embassy would help ERTA to enhance its capacity building and he believed that the cooperation between the two sides would develop continuously.
