On the afternoon of January 24th, with the successful operation on the 500th cataract patient, the "Light Journey" cataract surgery project in Ethiopia came to a successful conclusion. 

During the 20-plus-day free medical service campaign, the "Light Journey" expert team from Tianjin Eye Hospital and the 25th medical aid team to Ethiopia, with a strong sense of responsibility and professional dedication, conducted detailed eye examinations, diagnoses and screenings for each patient who came for treatment. With their superb medical skills and rich experience, they ensured the success of every cataract surgery. The expert team also popularized knowledge about cataract prevention and treatment among the local Ethiopian people, enhancing their health awareness and self-care ability. They also conducted exchanges on ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment techniques with local hospitals, sharing advanced technologies and management experiences to contribute to the improvement of ophthalmic medical services in Ethiopia.
