April 14, 2010 -- Vice President of the Chinese Peoples Association for Peace and Disarmament Yan Junqi met and held talks with NGOs operating in Ethiopia here on Tuesday.

The talks between the two sides focused on alternatives believed to enhance development thereby reduce poverty through the NGOs.

The Tigray and Amhara Development Associations, the South Ethiopia Peoples Development Association, DKT Ethiopia and other NGOs took part in the discussion between the two sides.

Representatives of the NGOs apprised the members of the Chinese delegation on the overall activities of their respective organizations.

They also expressed their appreciation to the willingness of China to work with them. (ENA)
