The 120th Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) was held during April 5th to 10th in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Uyunqimg, the Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress (NPC), as head of the NPC delegation attended the meeting and made a speech on the topic of this meeting “Parliament: Building Peace, Democracy and Development at the times of Crisis”.

During her stay in Addis Ababa, the Vice-Chairperson had extensive contacts and exchanges with the participants from other countries, met with the IPU President, Theo-Ben Gurirab, Teshome Toga and Degefe Bula, Speakers of the House of People’s Representatives and House of Federation of Ethiopia respectively, exchanging opinions on the development direction of IPU, the exchange and cooperation between Parliaments of China and Ethiopia and other issues of common concern.
