Welcome to the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ethiopia!

Ethiopia is a remarkable country, known as one of the birthplaces of humanity, the origin of coffee, and the "home of long-distance running champions." With over 3,000 years of history, it is an ancient civilization that continues to inspire the world. In recent years, Ethiopia has been actively driving reforms, ushering the nation into a new era of development.

China and Ethiopia established diplomatic relations in 1970. Over the past half-century, the friendship between our two countries and peoples has grown stronger with each passing year. Since the elevation of China-Ethiopia relations to all-weather strategic partnership in 2023, both sides have seized the opportunities presented by jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative and fostering a shared future for humanity. Our political mutual trust has deepened, and practical cooperation across various fields has continued to flourish. China-Ethiopia relations remain at the forefront of China-Africa relations.

The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ethiopia is dedicated to strengthening the friendly and cooperative ties between China and Ethiopia. We aim to enhance mutual trust and friendship between the two governments and peoples while providing better support and services for Chinese citizens in Ethiopia. We hope this website serves as a valuable window for everyone to learn more about the relationship between China and Ethiopia, and acts as a bridge connecting the hearts of our two peoples. We warmly invite you to visit our website often and share your thoughts and suggestions.
