To further facilitate cross-border travel, China has decided to extend its unilateral visa-free policy for 45 countries (list is as follows ) to December 31, 2026. China has added Sweden to the visa-free scheme effective from November 10, 2025 to December 31, 2026. Citizens of these countries holding ordinary passports can be exempted from visa to enter China and stay for no more than 30 days for business, tourism, family or friend visit, exchange and transit purposes. For those travelers, who do not meet the visa-free requirements still need to apply for visa in advance before entering China.
