On March 25th, Ambassador Chen Hai of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia met with Legese Tulu, Minister of the Government Communication Service of Ethiopia, and two state ministers, Tesfahun and Kebede. Present at the meeting were Shen Qinmin, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy, and Zhang Yawei, Consul General in charge of cultural and educational affairs.

Ambassador Chen, in light of the Two Sessions, introduced China's achievements in the fields of news publishing, radio, film and television, and new media, as well as recent activities jointly held by the Chinese embassy and the Ethiopian side, such as the "Happy Spring Festival" and the China-Ethiopia Film and Television Festival. He expressed that China is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with Ethiopia in the field of news media and promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries. 

Legesse congratulated China on the successful conclusion of the Two Sessions, highly appraised the cooperation between the news media of the two countries, and expressed that the Ethiopian side is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the spirit of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the "People-to-People Exchange Partnership Initiative", and achieve more fruitful results in the fields of news media and cultural exchanges.
