Your Excellency,
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the People’s Republic of China and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, I wish to extend to Your Excellency my warm congratulations and sincere wishes.
The Sino-Ethiopia friendly cooperative relationship has developed soundly and steadily over the past 40 years of diplomatic ties. Since the establishment of the all-round cooperative partnership in 2003 between our two countries, the mutual political trust has been further strengthened, with fruitful results of pragmatic cooperation in the fields of economic, trade and social development, and mutual support and close coordination in the international affairs. The two peoples of China and Ethiopia have become good friends, good brothers and good partners.
Both China and Ethiopia are developing countries. Adherence to friendship serves the fundamental interests of the peoples of both countries. Taking this opportunity of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, the Chinese side is willing to work with the Ethiopian side to promote the Sino-Ethiopia all-round cooperative partnership to develop continuously in a profound manner to the wellbeing of the peoples of the two countries.
